Media Notes: ONE World Sports Announces Carriage Of Juventus Channel

ONE World Sports announced a multi-year, multiplatform agreement for exclusive carriage of Juventus TV. JTV is the club channel of Serie A side Juventus. ONE World Sports will air exclusive first-runs of complementary programming including pre- and post-game analysis, player interviews and profiles as well as encore presentations of matches (ONE World Sports). ... Sony Pictures Networks India, in collaboration with ESPN, has announced the launch of its two new channels, Sony ESPN and Sony ESPN HD; which will go live on Jan. 17. With this, SPN has expanded its sports cluster to four channels -- Sony ESPN, Sony ESPN HD, Sony SIX and Sony SIX HD. The launch of these new channels represents the first steps in the collaboration between SPN and ESPN to power content across both TV and digital platforms. Sony ESPN channels will benefit from both SPN's existing portfolio of sports and content, plus ESPN's leadership position in sports and more than 1,000 hours of programming per year (Sony Pictures Networks India). ... Univision Deportes announced that it has acquired from UEFA the exclusive U.S. Spanish-language broadcast rights to all UEFA national team competitions from '18-22. This first-of-its-kind centralized deal will make Univision Deportes the Spanish-language home of European national team football in the U.S. The rights include the UEFA Euro 2020, UEFA Nations League, UEFA Nations League Final Four and the European Qualifiers to the UEFA Euro 2020 as well as the European Qualifiers to the 2022 FIFA World Cup. Univision Deportes will be airing the matches across the portfolio of networks including UDN, Univision Network, UniMás, Galavision and will be streaming the properties via the Univision Deportes app (Univision Deportes).
