Int'l media group Eleven Sports Network has announced the appointment of JOYEE BISWAS as managing director for Asia. Biswas most recently held the position of director of sports content & programming at Singtel, responsible for multiple linear and non-linear channels and platforms. Prior to that, he worked at Fox Int'l Channels and ESPN Star Sports in Singapore. Reporting to Group Managing Dir DANNY MENKEN, Biswas will be based in Eleven Sports Network's new office in Singapore (Eleven Sports). ... Former All Blacks Manager JOHN MITCHELL "is the new head coach of the US Eagles." Mitchell said, "I'm excited about putting my strengths into play and building on the solid work laid down in the last World Cup cycle." Mitchell, who has signed a contract through to the 2019 Japan World Cup, "replaces MIKE TOLKIN as Eagles head coach (London GUARDIAN, 1/4). ... CHRIS RAMSEY has been appointed technical director at Queens Park Rangers "just two months after the English Championship club sacked him as manager." The 53-year-old "will be responsible for a variety of roles relating to coaching and player development" (REUTERS, 1/5).
