Ghana FA Is Looking For Sponsorship For The Ghana Premier League

Ghana FA President Kwesi Nyantakyi confirmed the association is looking to "secure a new headline sponsor following the uncertainty surrounding their relationship with the Capital Bank," according to SPORTS CRUSADER. The GFA "appears to be gearing towards the termination of its five-year sponsorship contract" worth $10M with Capital Bank. The bank "asked for the suspension of the agreement over ongoing structural changes." Nyantakyi said, "We don't have a sponsor now so we are looking for a new sponsor. We hope to secure sponsorship by the time the league starts." Talks are "reportedly already underway" with telecom MTN to become the new sponsor (SPORTS CRUSADER, 12/30).
