Burkina Faso national football team Manager GERNOT ROHR announced he is leaving the team “through his Facebook page on Monday.” With the team since February, Rohr had been the national team manager “for Gabon and Niger prior to Burkina Faso.” The German said he was leaving due to “professional and personal reasons.” He will be returning to Germany to “work for the German Football Federation (DFB)” (L’ÉQUIPE, 12/21). ... Argentine first division side Tigre named former Juventus player MAURO CAMORANESI its new coach on an 18-month contract running through '17. This will be the second head coaching job for Camoranesi, 39, who won a World Cup with Italy in '06 (LOS ANDES, 12/21). ... Spanish second division side Almería sacked Manager JOAN CARRILLO on Sunday. The club "had gone 14 matches without a win" (AS, 12/20). ... MICHAEL FRONTZECK "resigned on Monday as coach of struggling" Bundesliga club Hannover. Frontzeck "quit at the start of the month-long winter break in the German league." In a statement, Frontzeck said, "I don't feel I have the support anymore" from the club. He took over "in April with only five matches remaining in the season and saved Hannover from relegation." No "successor was immediately named" (ESPN, 12/21). ... League One side Colchester United named KEVIN KEEN as its new manager, "with DAVID WRIGHT appointed as his assistant." The club had "not had a permanent boss since TONY HUMES left in November" (BBC, 12/21).
