Mexico City Sports Institute Dir De La Vega Calls '15 'Historic'

Mexico City Sports Institute (IDDF) Dir General Horacio de la Vega said that the organization's accomplishments in '15 were "historic," according to LA AFICIÓN. De la Vega: "It was a historic year, without a doubt, not only for Mexico City but for the country, as it brought about a great amount of sports events with great social sports content." He added, "It closes an imposing precedent in terms of everything that has been done this year: NBA games, UFC fights, Formula 1 and the Mexico City Marathon; plus 35,000 international events." De la Vega also said the IDDF is in negotiations for other sports events in '16 with execs from the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB, "as well as other leagues that are not as well known." Regarding the NFL, he explained that there is a "very important project" for '16 (LA AFICIÓN, 12/8).
