At midnight on Saturday La Liga side Málaga announced that it "dispensed with the services" of Sporting Dir VICENTE CASADO. The club scheduled a press conference for Monday at 12:30pm local time to "explain the situation" (AS, 11/29). ... ANDY SANDOZ and BEN MOOGE, the creative partners at Havas Work Club, have been appointed as the joint exec creative directors of Havas Creative Group. The pair "will be responsible for the group's entire creative output and take on the duties" of Havas Worldwide London Exec Creative Dir MARK FAIRBANKS, who left last week. Sandoz and Mooge will report to Havas Group European & U.K. Group CEO CHRIS HIRST (BRAND REPUBLIC, 11/26). ... The Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) said that President MARCO POLO DEL NERO stepped down from FIFA's exec committee "and will be replaced by FERNANDO SARNEY." Del Nero, who will remain as head of the CBF, "had missed recent FIFA meetings in Switzerland." It said that Sarney was "approved unanimously as his replacement for Brazil" (AP, 11/27). ... SEPP BLATTER's nephew PHILIPPE BLATTER "has been appointed CEO of Wanda Sports Holding," a new division formed from the merger of Infront Sports & Media and World Triathlon Corp. Blatter was president and CEO of Infront. The active lifestyle business will be "led by WTC CEO ANDREW MESSICK" (VARIETY, 11/27). ... Sports Dir ERIK DEKKER will say goodbye to Team LottoNL-Jumbo at the end of the year (Team Lotto Jumbo). 

ATHLETICS AUSTRALIA PRESIDENT: Former Australia Federal Sports Minister MARK ARBIB "as been elected unanimously as the new president of Athletics Australia." Arbib was elected onto the Athletics Australia board Friday and was "immediately installed as president by the new board." Former President DAVID GRACE and VPs MATT MAHON and NICK MOORE "all stood down yesterday after reaching the nine-year limit." Arbib remains on the board of the South Sydney rugby league club and Sydney football club (THE AUSTRALIAN, 11/28).
