Marketplace Roundup: Serie A Side Genoa Partners With Fashion Brand AT.P.CO

Serie A side Genoa signed a shirt sponsorship deal with fashion brand AT.P.CO. The club will wear the fashion brand's logo on the right chest of its matchday jerseys for the rest of the '15-16 season. No financial terms were released (SOCCEREX, 11/24). ... Promoted Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC sealed a deal with EMWL Micro-finance Company Ltd. as the club's first major sponsor. The deal will see the company partner with the club for the '15-16 season with an option for a two-year renewal. As "part of the contractual agreement, both parties did not disclose terms of the deal." EMWL will also give the best player of the club for each game a GHC 200 ($52) cash prize (GHANA SOCCERNET, 11/23). ... Man City is "to ditch" its current badge and change to a new one. Last month the Blues "launched a consultation with fans to determine if there was a will to change from the current badge." And bosses said that there was "overwhelming desire" for a new badge among the "thousands of season ticket holders and members who took in the process." It means the current badge, containing elements of an eagle and three stars which the club has used since '97, "will now be ditched" (MANCHESTER EVENING NEWS, 11/24). ... Infront Sports & Media sub-licensed the rights to stage B2RUN corporate running events in Portugal to sports event company sports by tlc. Sports by tlc will launch the first Portuguese event on Sept. 15, featuring corporate teams racing six kilometer runs. Participants will cross the finish line at the MEO Arena -- a multipurpose indoor venue in Lisbon (Infront). ... Formula E confirmed its collaboration with EDP Renewables. EDPR donated 10,000 green certificates under the new collaboration, enough to cover the energy needs for the whole inaugural season and aligning Formula E’s energy consumption with the environmental attributes of wind energy from the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (Formula E).
