Ski Jumping Gold Medal Winners Martin Schmitt, Simon Ammann Found Agency

Ski jumping Gold Medal winners Martin Schmitt and Simon Ammann "have founded a sports marketing agency," according to Gabriel Wagner of SPONSORS. The two have become shareholders of ASP Sports Ammann Schmitt & Partner. The focus of the agency "will be in the areas of athlete management, marketing rights, sponsorship advice and testimonial advertisement." Together with shareholder Hubert Schiffmann, who has been working in sports marketing since '98 and advised both ski jumpers, Schmitt and Ammann "will add their experience as pro athletes to the agency." Schmitt, who retired in '14, "is currently attending the University of Leipzig, majoring in sports science." Ammann, who is still active, "will start his 19th World Cup season this weekend" (SPONSORs, 11/19).
