The New South Wales Rugby League Blues Plan To Build $14.2M Center Of Excellence

New South Wales Rugby League Blues announced plans to build a A$20M ($14.2M) Center of Excellence at Olympic Park "for its administration which will also include a field and training facilities," according to Travis Meyn of the NEWS LIMITED. The team is planning to warm-up on the training field before Origin matches from '17 and "walk through a tunnel to the stadium." While warming up on fields is normal in National Rugby League matches, Origin teams "warm-up in the dressing rooms due to the pre-game entertainment on the field." Warming up on a field will "give the Blues a distinct advantage." The club had used a resor at Coffs Harbour as its base before Origin games but will now spend its "preparation at the new facility" (NEWS LIMITED, 11/16).
