Football Notes: Ronaldo To Open Three Football Schools In China

Former Brazilian footballer Ronaldo will open football schools in three Chinese cities including Beijing and Shanghai by the end of this year, according to the head of the project. Paulo Swerts, who will manage Ronaldo's football schools in China, said, "Our first schools will be located in Beijing, Shanghai and Mianyang (in southwest China's Sichuan province), and they are expected to start operation in December" (IANS, 11/15). ... The Spanish Football League (LFP) announced on Saturday that before games played during the Spanish second division's 13th matchday, "there will be a moment of respectful silence in memory of the victims of the attacks in Paris" (LIBERTAD DIGITAL, 11/14). ... The Football League confirmed that League Championship side Leeds United President Massimo Cellino had his disqualification under the league's Owners' and Directors' Test stayed by the League Arbitration Panel appointed to hear his appeal. This enables him to continue in his present capacity at the club until the process concludes (The Football League).
