Hamburg Appoints DSM As Official Marketing Partner For City's 2024 Olympic Bid

Hamburg 2024 bid committee "has as expected appointed German Sport Marketing (DSM) as the official marketing partner of the city's bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics," according to Kathrin Hartmann of SPONSORs. The deal includes "the creation of marketing packages as well as the acquisition, advice and support of partners." The official plan is to create a "multi-layer program" to attract regional and national partners. The marketing target "has been known since the beginning" of Hamburg's Olympic plans: €25M ($27.4M) -- half of the bid budget. DSM "has reportedly already started to contact potential partners." No official "deals have been announced so far." Hamburg "will hold a public referendum on Nov. 29 to decided if it will go ahead with its Olympics bid" (SPONSORs, 11/3).
