Marketplace Roundup: Real Madrid Partners with UCFB In Burnley, U.K.

Real Madrid "entered into a partnership with the University College of Football Business in Burnley, U.K." The new partnership "will enable students at the UCFB, which offers university degrees in the football, sport and leisure industries, to study at the Real Madrid Graduate School -- Universidad Europea, the ten-time European champions’ higher education arm" (SOCCEREX, 10/20). ... Self-storage solutions company National Storage joined National Rugby League club Brisbane Broncos as a premier sponsor starting in '16. National Storage's logo will now feature on the back of the club's home and away jerseys for the next four years. The Broncos and National Storage deal runs until at least '19 and represents the Australia-wide self-storage leader's first foray into rugby league sponsorship (Brisbane Broncos). ... Second tier English Rugby side London Scottish renewed its 12-month sponsorship deal with Glengoyne Highland Single Malt Scotch Whiskey for a third year (London Scottish). ... England Rugby League teamed up with Trojan to make it an official work-wear partner of the national team ahead of this autumn's int'l series against New Zealand. Trojan Workwear is already partners with Super League clubs Leeds Rhinos and St. Helens and is now growing its Ruby League portfolio by partnering with the England team (England Rugby League). ... The Olympic Council of Ireland announced that Electric Ireland will sponsor Team Ireland for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. The sponsorship will help potential Team Ireland athletes prepare for the journey toward the Rio 2016 Olympic Games (OCI). ... To celebrate the renewal of its contract for the next three seasons Paris St. Germain and its official supplier, Coca-Cola, designed two limited-edition collector bottles in collaboration with street artists Mambo and Pieter Ceizer. PSG General Dir Frédérique Longuépée said, “We are excited to continue our partnership with Coca-Cola. We share the same ambition to offer our fans a fun and refreshing experience” (PSG).
