Franchise Notes: Premiership Rugby Side Gloucester Confirms Ownership Talks

Premiership rugby side Gloucester has confirmed it is "in talks with a number of interested parties as they continue their search for new owners or investors." The club is controlled by Ryan Walkinshaw, who took over following the death of his father, Tom -- a former F1 team owner -- in '10. According to reports, the Premiership club is valued at £25M ($38M) (BBC, 10/13). ... Serie A side AC Milan’s joint-CEO Adriano Galliani "is reportedly being investigated over a possible involvement in Parma's bankruptcy." An investigation "is exploring the details of the Ducali's collapse from Serie A into complete ruin and subsequent demotion to Serie D" (FOOTBALL ITALIA, 10/13).
