Close To 14 Million Viewers Watch Germany-Georgia Euro 2016 Qualifier On RTL

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded an average of 13.84 million viewers during the second half of the Euro 2016 qualifier between Germany and Georgia," according to Manuel Weis of QUOTENMETER. The number translated into a market share of 43.3%, along with 45.2% in the target demographic 14-49. The game's first half, which Germany won 2-1, drew 11.47 million viewers and had a 30.8% share starting at 8:45pm. In the target demo, the first half drew 32.7% (QUOTENMETER, 10/12).

SOCHI AUTODROM: DWDL's Alexander Krei reported RTL recorded an average of 4.18 million viewers for its broadcast of the Russian F1 Grand Prix on Sunday starting at 1pm. In the target demo, the broadcast had a 20.4% share. In the target demographic 14-59, RTL obtained a 25.2% share for its coverage. German pay-TV channel Sky, which also aired the race, drew 370,000 viewers and had a 2.6% market in the target demo.

RUGBY WORLD CUP: Pan-European sports channel Eurosport recorded 100,000 viewers in the target demo for its coverage of the game between France and Ireland. The number translated into a market share of 1.3% in the target demo. Ireland's 24-9 win attracted a total of 180,000 viewers starting at 180,000 viewers (DWDL, 10/12).
