Marketplace Roundup: Chandon Will Sponsor McLaren In '16

The McLaren F1 team announced that "Chandon will be the sponsor of the British squad." The partnership will "commence in 2016." Chandon "replaced Johnie Walkers' name" on the sides of the cockpit of McLaren's car (MOTORSPORT, 9/30). ... Second Bundesliga side MSV Duisburg has agreed to a long-term deal with Hamburg-based consulting agency Match IQ. As an official partner of the club, Match IQ "will help optimizing Duisburg's summer and winter preparations." The initial deal will run for two years (MSV Duisburg). ... Team Marseille 13 KTM of the Int'l Cycling Union (UCI) Continental European Tour has partnered with Delko, an automobile repair and service company, for two years and will change its name to Delko Marseille-Provence KTM. The team will also begin competing on the Professional UCI Continental Tour (Team Marseille 13). ... Austrian Bundesliga side FK Austria Wien renewed its "marketing partnership with Sporteo." The Liechtenstein-based sports marketing agency "will continue to market pitch-side advertising" at all of the club's home games until the end of the '18-19 season (SOCCEREX, 9/30). ... A-League side Perth Glory renewed its "principal sponsorship agreement with QBE." The deal will see the global insurance group "remain the side's front-of-shirt sponsor for the next four years," extending an association which stretches back to '97. The partnership is currently the "longest running sponsorship deal in professional sport in Australia" (SOCCEREX, 9/30). ... The Philippine Basketball Association appointed Sportradar to be its official data partner until the end of the '20-21 season. Under the terms of the agreement, Sportradar will be granted the right to collect, sell and distribute live scores, stats and other data exclusively to gaming companies and on a non-exclusive basis to media outlets (PBA). ... Paralympics New Zealand and snack brand Cadbury announced a partnership in support of New Zealand para-athletes on the road to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Cadbury is the third major brand to join the Paralympic family in just four weeks, after the signing of Accident Compensation Corporation and New Zealand seafood company Sanford (Paralympics NZ). ... British Weight Lifting, the national governing body responsible for Olympic Weightlifting and Paralympic power lifting, "signed a new partnership with U.K.-based sports nutrition and supplement provider USN." The long-term partnership will see USN "support British Weight Lifting's World Class Programme events and wider membership" during the course of the next Olympic year and through the 2018 Commonwealth Games (ISPORTCONNECT, 9/30). ...  Badminton Association of India on Wednesday announced the appointment of Sportzlive as its "official marketing and sponsorship partner for the second season of Indian Badminton League" scheduled to be held from Jan. 2-17 next year. Sportzlive primarily focuses on investing and creating Sports IPR in the Indian sub-continent and its key promoters, Gaurav Bahal and Atul Pande, bring more than 25 years of collective sports and media experience (PTI, 9/30). ... DRB-HICOM Berhad will return as presenting partner of the EurAsia Cup, which will be held from Jan. 15-17. Jeev Milkha Singh and Darren Clarke are confirmed as captains of Asia and Europe respectively (EurAsia Cup).
