La Liga Club Real Betis Votes On 12-Member Administrative Council

At La Liga side Real Betis' shareholders meeting on Wednesday night, the "Ahora Betis Ahora" ("Now Betis Now") candidacy led by former execs Ángel Haro García and José Miguel López Catalán won the majority of votes, according to Morán & González of MARCA. With 27.4% of the votes in its favor, the 12-member administrative council proposed by Haro and Catalán -- with four new faces -- will govern Betis for the coming months, "at least until a shareholder meeting in December." A project led by former Betis exec Manolo Castaño only received the support of 19.94% of the club's shareholders (MARCA, 9/23).
