Red Bull reportedly appointed JOCHEN SCHNEIDER "to the newly created position of Coordinator Sport Global Soccer." The 45-year-old, "who most recently worked as sports director of Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart, is expected to take on his new position in mid-October." Red Bull "intends to create greater synergy between its football clubs in Leipzig, Germany; N.Y.; and Campinas, Brazil." Red Bull Salzburg "will reportedly not be part of Schneider's responsibilities" (KURIER, 9/22). ... Division one women's handball club Cercle Dijon Bourgogne's President KARINE SAVINA announced that GILLES POISSONNIER will be the new CEO of the team. Poissonnier is "currently a director and shareholder of French basketball club JDA Dijon" (BIEN PUBLIC, 9/22). ... Former Dir of Sports Magazines for Canal+ KARIM NEDJARI announced his departure from all his teams Monday. Nedjari wanted to leave his post because he “no longer had the support from directors.” Current Program Dir of Information & Content for Yahoo France ALEXANDRE DELPÉRIER is rumored to be next in line for the job (LEQUIPE, 9/21). ... Singapore Fox Int'l Channels Asia has named THERESA ONG as senior VP, affiliate partnerships for Hong Kong & Southeast Asia. Ong joins the company on Oct. 12 and will report to EVP of Commercial & Sports, APAC & Middle East ROHIT D'SILVA. Ong will be responsible for enhancing partnerships with FIC's affiliates in Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Vietnam, across the company's entire channel portfolio covering all content genres including factual, entertainment (Hollywood and Chinese) and sports. She joins FIC from Discovery Networks Int'l, where she was senior VP & GM for Southeast Asia (Campaign Asia Pacific). ... Former Senior EMEA VP of Yahoo and Channel 5 CEO DAWN AIREY has been named as the new CEO of Getty Images. Airey will start on Oct. 12. She will replace co-Founder & CEO JONATHAN KLEIN who will become a chairman (Brand Republic).
