More Than 1 Million Tune In To TV3’s Ireland Vs. Canada Rugby World Cup Coverage

More than 1 million viewers (1,013,800) tuned in to TV3’s Rugby World Cup coverage of Ireland vs. Canada on Saturday. The match itself averaged 586,000 viewers, peaking at 706,000 as the game came to a close. Across the first three days of Rugby World Cup 2015, over 2.2 million (2,263,000) viewers tuned in to TV3’s coverage. Another ratings high for TV3 was Japan’s shock victory over South Africa, which peaked at 409,000 people watching at the final whistle. TV3 also had significant viewing for its RWC coverage via the newly re-launched 3player with 110,000 streams over the weekend (TV3).
