Australian Football League Side Western Bulldogs Calls For AFL To Investigate 'Leak'

Australian Football League side Western Bulldogs has asked the AFL to investigate the "alleged leaking of sensitive game-day information by a Bulldogs player to Adelaide ahead of the elimination final," according to Niall & Quayle of THE AGE. The Bulldogs confirmed late on Tuesday that "they had been made aware of the possibility that information relating to their game plan had found its way to the Crows." Bulldogs defender Michael Talia, whose brother Daniel is the Adelaide full-back, is reportedly at the center of the investigation. The club had been concerned that information -- specific to the elimination final -- "had been passed from younger to older brother." Bulldogs CEO David Stevenson said the club had been "made aware" on Monday last week that "some game sensitive information" had allegedly found its way to the Crows. The AFL is expected to look into "not only whether and how any information made its way out of the Bulldogs, but what -- if anything -- was done with it at Adelaide's end." Stevenson "would not elaborate further on the specifics, such as how the club thought the information had allegedly passed from the Bulldogs to the Crows." Adelaide CEO Andrew Fagan said his club had "no issues" with the Bulldogs calling the AFL in, and that no one at the Crows had done "anything wrong" (THE AGE, 9/22).
