Football Notes: Construction Of FIFA's World Football Museum In Zurich Nearly Complete

The FIFA World Football Museum is now in the home stretch. Construction work in Zurich is continuing to progress according to schedule. Work has now begun on the interior of the museum, which is still due to open in the first quarter of '16. Major construction work has been underway in Zurich since March '14, with FIFA Museum AG building the FIFA World Football Museum at the heart of the city (FIFA). ... FIFA has turned down a proposal to "have this year's Football Kenya Federation (FKF) polls held under counties." The source said, "FIFA have maintained that election will be held under branches. They have written to us saying anything to do with counties can only be implemented in the next four years and not for this election." FKF revealed that "94 delegates will take part in the voting exercise." FKF President Sam Nyamweya said, "We have agreed that each of the 47 counties will bring one delegate for the national elections and the clubs will provide another 47 votes for a total number of 94" (GOAL, 9/21). ... La Liga side Valencia “has the intention of playing a friendly in ’16 in Singapore.” It would be the club’s first visit to the home country of Owner Peter Lim. This was confirmed by Valencia Marketing Dir Peter Draper (SUPERDEPORTE, 9/19).
