More Than 12 Million Viewers Tune In To Watch Euro 2016 Qualifier On RTL

German free-to-air TV channel RTL "recorded more than 12 million viewers for its broadcast of the Euro 2016 qualifier between Germany and Scotland," according to Manuel Nunez Sanchez of QUOTENMETER. The game's first half, which started at 8:45pm, attracted 11.09 million viewers on Monday. The number translated into a market share of 34.6%, along with 36.8% in the target demographic 14-49. The viewership increased to 12.54 million during the game's second half. The second half of Germany's 3-2 victory drew a market share of 43.2%. In the target demographic, the second 45 minutes of action obtained a 43.3% share (QUOTENMETER, 9/8). In a separate piece, Nunez Sanchez reported "Friday's Euro 2016 qualifier between Germany and Poland drew close to 12 million viewers on RTL." The game, which started at 8:45pm, attracted 10.18 million viewers during the first half. RTL's resulting market share was 34.6%. In the target demo, the game's first half obtained a 39% share as 3.85 million viewers tuned in. The second half of Germany's 3-1 win drew a market share of 42% as 11.77 million viewers tuned in. The second half of Friday's matchup attracted 4.38 million viewers and had a 43.5% share in the target demo (QUOTENMETER, 9/5).
