Barcelona Considering Eight Firms For Renovation Of Camp Nou, Six For New Arena

Eight architecture studios are finalists to renovate Barcelona's Camp Nou, while six others are vying to construct the new Palau Blaugrana, according to the EFE. The club will "announce the winners of both competitions" in early '16. In total, 45 bids initially applied. The firms will have until the end of the year to "present their proposals" (EFE, 9/8). In Barcelona, Miguel Rico reported Barcelona said in May that a possible naming rights sponsorship of the stadium could be worth €200M ($224M) over 15-20 years. Today this figure "is out of date."
