JOCHEN FÄRBER, currently head of IOC President THOMAS BACH's exec office, "will become head of the Swiss division of the Olympic Channel," a $600M digital endeavor that is scheduled to go live in April. In his role, Färber "will be charged with coordinating between the Swiss office of the channel, at IOC headquarters in Lausanne, and the Spanish TV channel operations, which is run out of the Olympic Broadcasting Services division in Madrid." He also "will serve as a liaison between the channel and the rest of the IOC" (Ben Fischer, SportsBusiness Journal). ... The Pac-12 Conference named NBA Kings VP/Business/Development CARTER WESTFALL VP/Int'l, with a main emphasis on China (Pac-12). ... The CFL Saskatchewan Roughriders dismissed VP/Football Operations & GM BRENDAN TAMAN. Assistant GM JEREMY O'DAY will serve as interim GM (CANADIAN PRESS, 8/30).

COACHES/MANAGERS: Brasileiro side Cruzeiro confirmed the dismissal of coach VANDERLEI LUXEMBURGO on Monday afternoon. He was let go a day after the club's 1-0 home loss to Santos, "which dropped the two-time defending champs to 16th in the league table, one spot away from a relegation place" (ESPN, 8/31). ... Just "24 hours after resigning," RICARDO CARUSO LOMBARDI returned on Tuesday morning as coach of Argentine first division club Arsenal. He "reversed his decision on Monday after a meeting with club execs" (DYN, 9/1).
