Manchester United Criticized For Failing To Tackle Mice Infestation At Old Trafford

ManU had been "slated for failing to tackle a mice infestation at Old Trafford," according to Mike Keegan of the London DAILY MAIL. The club has had "a historical problem with rodents at their canalside Theatre of Dreams." And now council inspectors have accused ManU of not implementing "adequate procedures to control pests within food areas." In the latest hygiene report, they "call for an immediate meeting to address their concerns and hand the world famous venue four out of five stars -- which means apart from promoted Watford they are the only Premier League club not to be given top marks." Further down the report ManU was criticized "for not cooking meat to the correct temperature and told to ensure any salmon used was caught in waters free from the notorious anasakis parasite." Inspectors "found raw meat was being stored above bread and wraps in the 1968 kitchen at Old Trafford and told the club to ensure raw foods were kept in a separate area" (DAILY MAIL, 9/1).
