La Liga Club Deportivo La Coruña Pays Off Debt To Spanish Tax Authorities

La Liga side Deportivo La Coruña announced its payment to Spain's tax authorities of the debt corresponding to the '15-16 season and scheduled on the payment calendar that both parties agreed upon in a deal signed in March '14, according to the EFE. The club said in a statement that it had proceeded to pay the second installment for this season. The quantity the club has paid to the tax authorities has risen to €3.17M ($3.58M). The term for the payment was to expire in January, meaning Deportivo will save the interest corresponding to the final months of '15 (EFE, 9/1).
