Media Notes: NZ-South Africa ODIs To Be Streamed Live, Free In New Zealand

Cricket South Africa "has come to the rescue of New Zealand cricket fans." CSA will provide cricket fans living in New Zealand "free access to the remaining two one-day internationals between South Africa and New Zealand after Sky Television failed to secure the rights for the series, leaving fans fuming." Cricket fans living in New Zealand will be able to watch the second and third ODIs live via web streaming on CSA's website, www.cricket.co.za. The service "will be free of charge to fans living in New Zealand only" (STUFF, 8/23). ... Online gambling site Bwin, which sponsors Real Madrid, has picked advertising agency Home to handle a pan-European advertising brief. The agency "is tasked with creating a TV campaign for the sports betting brand that will air across central Europe" -- including Italy, Germany and Spain. The brief has a six-figure budget "and is targeted at football fans." It will run for the duration of the football season and will feature players from the Real Madrid and Juventus squads, both of which are sponsored by Bwin (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 8/24).
