Kontinental Hockey League Announces New Sponsors Ahead Of '15-16 Season

The Kontinental Hockey League announced the signing of a host of new and renewed partnership and sponsorship agreements. Two of the deals were particularly significant: telecom company Rostelecom has become one of the KHL’s new partners, and insurance group Sogaz -- a partner since the Championship first began back in '08 -- agreed to continue its working relationship. The news is a significant boost to the league’s new three-year financial strategy, adopted in February of this year, and comes just three days before the '15-16 season gets underway with the Opening Cup. Among other companies that agreed to continue supporting the league are telecom network Megafon, brewing company Baltika and oil and gas service provider Eriell Group. Meanwhile, Gazprom subsidiary GazEnergoServis and Haier steel company signed on to become new partners of the KHL. The league estimates that 45% of the financial strategy, comprising 11 separate programs encompassing more than 150 objectives, has already been successfully implemented (KHL).
