Marketplace Roundup: EPL Club Norwich City Announces Three-Year Deal With Aviva

EPL club Norwich City announced that insurance company Aviva -- a main sponsor for the past eight years -- will become a community partner in a three-year deal starting with the '16-17 season. Aviva will support community-focused activity throughout Norfolk and remain a sponsor of the Community Stand (Norwich City). ... Singapore Airlines (SIA) "announced that it is extending the title sponsorship of the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix for another two years." In a statement, SIA said that "it will now be the title sponsor of the event until 2017." The airline "was first announced as the title sponsor in 2014 when it signed a two-year contract, taking over from SingTel" (CHANNEL NEWS ASIA, 8/20). ... EPL side Aston Villa and Ticketmaster announced the launch of a three-year official ticket resale partnership, offering fans the ability to buy or sell Villa tickets in a dependable, secure and approved way. Launching Thursday, the service will use Ticketmaster's Seatwave platform and will provide assistance to Villa supporters who may not otherwise have been able to buy tickets for in-demand games (Aston Villa). ... Visa Europe "launched a global search for a creative agency ahead of the 2016 Olympic Games." The financial services firm "is holding pitches for the account, which is open to agencies on Visa’s roster, without the use of an intermediary." The brief "is for an agency to create campaigns marking Visa’s sponsorship of the Games in Rio de Janeiro" (CAMPAIGN LIVE, 8/20). ... The Tokyo 2020 Organizing Committee appointed Japan Post Holdings as the Games' official postal services partner. Japan Post Holdings will become the 18th partner of the organizing committee. Tokyo 2020 now has 13 Gold Partners, the top domestic tier of the sponsorship program, and five official partners, the second tier (Tokyo 2020).
