Media Notes: Serie A Club Juventus Releases New Mobile App

Juventus' new app will provide fans with breaking news and content. A new-look website was launched on July 1 and the new app means all news and content will be in one place for the club's fans. The app will feature news, photos, videos, fixture lists and the Match Room, which offers real-time statistics and live commentary during every game (Juventus). ... South Africa's SABC is set to launch a sixth TV channel soon after COO Hlaudi Motsoeneng "apparently secured" R1.5B rand ($120M) for the SABC to start another new channel. The channel "will most likely be SABC Sport as a 24-hour TV channel." The creation of SABC Sport will "bring an end to the schedule disruption of the SABC's existing three terrestrial channels" every time there is football, cricket or rugby tournaments in cases where the SABC manages to secure the broadcasting rights (Channel 24). ... FIFA subsidiary Early Warning System GmbH and digital sports content and media supplier Perform Group on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement to enhance the integrity of football events. The agreement includes the integration of Perform Group brand Opta's historical and live performance data into EWS' integrity monitoring system. The integration will optimize the detection and analysis of suspicious activities in sports betting, which can be an indicator for match manipulation at football matches, including FIFA competitions (FIFA).
