EWS Tool Technologies Stays On As Naming-Rights Partner Of Göppingen Arena

EWS Tool Technologies "will stay on as the naming-rights partner of the EWS Arena," which is the home of Handball Bundesliga (HBL) club Frisch Auf! Göpping, according to Kathrin Hartmann of SPONSORs. The company "has been the arena's naming-rights sponsors since '08." EWS renewed the deal, which was set to expire in the summer of '16, for another seven years until '23. EWS Managing Dir Matthias Weigele said that "the main reason for the extension is self advertising." He added that "without a doubt, the EWS Arena raised our profile in the region." EWS is expected to pay an estimated €150,000 ($160,000) annually for the rights, which is the same amount it currently pays. The EWS Arena "has a capacity of 5,600 seats and will host group-stage games during the 2017 IHF World Women's Handball Championship" (SPONSORs, 8/4).
