Media Notes: Mexico's Fox Sports To Carry 96 NFL Games Of Upcoming Season On Pay-TV

Pay-TV channel Fox Sports on Wednesday announced it will carry NFL Thursday Night Football games throughout the upcoming season in Mexico and Central America. It is the first time the NFL's Thursday night games will be broadcast in Spanish in Latin America. Starting in August, Fox Sports' four channels will carry a total of 96 games, including four preseason contests, the playoffs, the Pro Bowl and the Super Bowl (LA AFICIÓN, 7/29). ... DishLatino, Dish Network’s suite of English and Spanish-language packages, kicked off Zona Fútbol, a platform for the Hopper HD-DVR that delivers several enhancements including updated scores and a “Multi-Channel View” mosaic that displays up to six games at once. Zona Fútbol, available for free to all DishLatino subs with Hopper DVRs via a software update, features games from several leagues, including Liga MX, La Liga, EPL, Serie A, Ligue 1, Major League Soccer, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Europa League, among others (DishLatino).
