Second Bundesliga side FSV Frankfurt "has extended its contract" with Managing Dir CLEMENS KRÜGER until '20. The 44-year-old "has been with the club since '00." Krüger's previous contract was set to expire on June 30, 2016 (SID, 7/29). ... The Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP) named PEDRO PROENÇA its president. Proença, a former referee, succeeds LUÍS DUQUE, who was elected president of the LPFP in October (LUSA, 7/28). ... The British Horseracing Authority appointed RICHARD WAYMAN as COO, filling a key new position -- initially publicized as director of racing and operations, but now with added responsibility for finance -- in the organization’s exec team following the restructure detailed last month. Reporting to CEO NICK RUST, Wayman will assume overall responsibility for the sport’s fixture list, race planning and handicapping, along with the BHA’s relationship with Weatherbys and many of the BHA’s corporate services functions, including its finance team. He will work closely with BHA Dir of Int'l Racing & Racing Development RUTH QUINN on a range of matters. His start date is not yet confirmed (BHR). ... ESPN has promoted STACEY FITCH to VP of production operations, where she will oversee the production operation groups in Bristol and Charlotte, plus the Wide World of Sports facility in Orlando. A 19-year ESPN veteran, Fitch will have “dotted-line management of the Production Operations team in Los Angeles,” according to an internal memo. Most recently, she was senior coordinating producer managing network operations for ESPN’s domestic and int'l channels (John Ourand, Staff Writer). ... Spanish coach DAVID MADRID has been named the manager of Ecuador's national indoor football team for the upcoming Copa América, which will take place from Aug. 23-30 in Portoviejo, Ecuador (EFE, 7/28).
