Sky Sports won the rights to show clips from every Premier League game across its digital platforms. The three-year agreement, starting from the '16-17 season, will see clips from every Premier League match being made available to both mobile and online users, with packages that will include in-match content and highlights. As part of the deal, Sky Sports entered into an exclusive distribution partnership with News UK that will see clips also being made available across The Sunday Times, The Times and The Sun digital services. Up to 35 million users a month access Sky Sports’ digital media services. As well as 116 games from the Premier League this coming season, Sky Sports will show 112 matches from the Sky Bet Football League, action from the Capital One Cup and more than 30 games from the Scottish Professional Football League (Sky Sports). BROADCAST NOW's Peter White wrote the pay-TV broadcaster "beat a number of rivals to the rights." While News UK "is likely to continue to publish the highlights behind the paywall of its newspaper websites, Sky has not yet confirmed whether the clips will be made available on an advertiser-funded basis via the Sky Sports website" (BROADCAST NOW, 7/22).
