Marketplace Roundup: Real Madrid, Electronic Arts Sign Three-Year Partnership

Electronic Arts and Real Madrid announced a three-year partnership that will see EA Sports become the exclusive and official video game partner of the club. As part of the partnership, FIFA 16 will include updated 3D head scans of 14 of Real Madrid's most popular players. The partnership extends into the Santiago Bernabéu on gameday, as the stadium's big screen will occasionally display player celebrations rendered with EA Sports FIFA after goals. Fans will also have a chance to get a hands-on experience with FIFA 16 in a new experiential area at the stadium (Electronic Arts). ... Second Bundesliga club Greuther Fürth agreed to a cooperation with the Albrecht Dürer Airport Nuremberg. The club will be visible on a big billboard outside of the terminal and on an airport ladder (Greuther Fürth). ... Ligue 1 side FC Lorient named Breizh Cola a new club sponsor. FC Lorient will wear the French cola brand's logo on the left shoulder of its match jerseys for the upcoming season (SOCCEREX, 7/21). ... Canoe and kayak builder Nelo has signed a long-term partnership with the Int'l Canoe Federation that provides support for the development of the sport. The agreement includes equipment and financial support for the ICF's development program and formalizes an ongoing partnership with Nelo (ICF). ... Moët & Chandon has been named the official champagne of the 35th America's Cup in a deal spanning a period of three years. Moët & Chandon's association with the America's Cup dates back to '87 (America's Cup). ... RIL's Internet calling and messaging application Jio Chat will become the "principal sponsor of Abhishek Bachchan's kabaddi team Jaipur Pink Panthers" for the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League '15 (PTI, 7/18). ... League One side Rochdale FC announced Spinandwin.com as a new official club partner. Spinandwin.com signed a 12-month sponsorship agreement for the 2015-16 season. As part of its package it will be sponsoring the Pearl Street Stand, as well as hosting a new Half Time Challenge (Rochdale). ... Euro 2016 has confirmed a partnership with France's national development and tourism agency, Atout France. Euro 2016 and Atout France will aim to raise awareness of what the country has to offer (UEFA). ... Australian National Basketball League side Perth Wildcats agreed to a two-year partnership with NewSmile Dental Centre as its official dental partner. As part of the partnership, NewSmile Dental Centre will join forces with Wildcats fans and followers on social media to present the “1300 NewSmile Game MVP” following every Perth Wildcats home game (Perth Wildcats).
