Bundesliga Side VfB Stuttgart Sells 80% Of Hospitality Packages

Bundesliga side VfB Stuttgart "has sold 80% of its inventory in its three hospitality areas," according to Holger Rehm of SPONSORs. The VIP area in the main stand of the Mercedes-Benz Arena, which has a capacity of 2,200 seats, "is almost completely sold out." There "are still limited opportunities available for the hospitality areas in the opposite stand (330 seats) and Untertürkheimer stand (850 seats)." VfB Sponsorship & Sales Dir Markus Erdmann is "satisfied" with the result, particulary considering the club "did not start selling hospitality packages until late May." Erdmann: "Without knowing in which league we will play, it wouldn't have made any sense to send offers to existing and new customers." Erdmann said that last season's hospitality occupancy rate was at around 85%. VfB Stuttgart generated around €14.4M during the '13 fiscal year (SPONSORs, 7/17).
