Poland's Eleven Sports Network Reaches Deal For Rights To Serie A, Ligue 1

Poland's Eleven Sports Network, which will soon launch new TV channels, reached an agreement with MP & Silva regarding the award of certain media rights such as Serie A, Ligue 1, the Scottish Professional Football League, ATP Tennis 250, Arsenal's club channel and Italy's top-tier volleyball league rights in Belgium, Malaysia and Poland. Eleven is also negotiating additional properties from the MP & Silva portfolio. The media group will launch localized HD channels featuring a sports content lineup offering more than 2,000 hours of live programming annually. The channels will be known as Eleven -- which will be devoted exclusively to football -- and Eleven Sports -- which will be home to a lineup of global sports content. Malaysia will launch an additional channel dedicated to more football, including the domestic league (Eleven Sports Network).

SONY KIX ACQUIRES FA CUP: AFAQS reported Multi Screen Media's recently launched Sony Kix sports channel has bagged an exclusive three-year deal to air the FA Cup and Serie A following an agreement with MP & Silva. These acquisitions aim to strengthen the channel's current portfolio of live football programming. Serie A's '15 season will kick off on the weekend of Aug. 22 (AFAQS, 7/3).
