FERNANDO FERNÁNDEZ-LADREDA "has been named as the new president" of the Spanish Tennis Federation (RFET), replacing JOSÉ LUIS ESCAÑUELA, who "stood down over mis-management charges." He said in a statement, "My first objective is to restore normalcy on both the institutional and sporting fronts" (AFP, 7/3). ... Dutch FA President MICHAEL VAN PRAAG has been appointed deputy chairman of UEFA. The body has five deputy chairmen supporting President MICHEL PLATINI. Van Praag, who was already on the board, replaces Turkey's SENES ERZIK, "who has to retire because he has turned 70" (DUTCH NEWS, 6/30). ... Euroleague Basketball named RICHARD STOKES its director of refereeing. He will manage officiating across the Euroleague, Eurocup and Next Generation Tournaments. He replaces COSTAS RIGAS, who will become chair of the league's recently created technical commission (Euroleague). ... One month after being announced as Qatari side Al Arabi's new manager, ROBERTO CARLOS "arranged a contract to manage" Indian Super League side Delhi Dynamos (ESTADÃO, 7/5). ... Scottish rugby club Stirling County named DAVID ADAMSON its head coach for the '15-16 season. GRAME YOUNG "left his post at the club at the end of last season" (HERALD SCOTLAND, 7/3).
