Polish Pay-TV Provider Nc+ Teams Up With Discovery To Secure Polish Football Rights

Polish pay-TV provider nc+ "secured rights to air coverage of Polish football league matches for the next four seasons after striking a new deal with the Ekstraklasa, and has teamed up with Discovery to air certain matches on Discovery-owned Eurosport 2," according to DIGITAL TV EUROPE. Under the new deal, matches "will be aired live on Canal+, with some games broadcast on Eurosport 2." The contract "also allows nc+ to air Polish football on Vivendi-owned video site Dailymotion for expatriate fans." The pay-TV broadcaster said that "its deal with Discovery would enable its subscribers to view all matches broadcast during the season" (DIGITAL TV EUROPE, 6/29).
