Borussia Dortmund Signs Deal With Japanese Convenience Store Chain Lawson

Borussia Dortmund "has agreed to a cooperation with Japanese chain Lawson," according to Henning Eberhardt of SPONSORs. Lawson, which operates close to 12,000 convenience stores in Japan, will support Dortmund during its upcoming Asian tour from July 5-11. The chain "will offer a special package to its customers" for the friendly against J.League side Kawasaki Frontale on July 7. The package will include a game ticket, scarf and jersey. Lawson will offer a total of 2,000 packages. The package has a price tag of €180 ($203) and sources said that more than 1,000 packages "were ordered during the first four days." The game against Kawasaki Frontale "is reportedly already sold out." The tickets "were gone within 48 hours." Around 30,000 spectators "are expected to attend the match" (SPONSORs, 6/15).
