Marketplace Roundup: Austrian Hockey Federation Extends Deal With Saxoprint

The Austrian Hockey Federation (ÖEHV) extended its partnership with Saxoprint for two more years. The printing provider, which has become a partner of the ÖEHV ahead of the 2015 Int'l Ice Hockey Federation World Championships, used its option to stay on as a partner until '17 (ÖEHV). ... Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) side Brose Baskets Bamberg "agreed to a new partnership with brewery Leikeim." As part of the two-year deal, fans "will be able to select the two beers that will be poured during games." Leikeim replaces Oettinger as the club's official beer partner (SPONSORs, 6/10). ... Second division German handball club HC Erlangen "signed a new kit deal with Hummel." The league-independent deal "will reportedly run for three years." Hummel replaces adidas as the kit supplier of the recently relegated club (SPONSORs, 6/10). ... Australian fashion and lifestyle brand Piping Hot on Monday announced surf champion Sally Fitzgibbons as its official new ambassador. Through this partnership, the newly crowned Fiji Pro champion will become the global spokesperson for Piping Hot and appear as the face of the brand's upcoming marketing and publicity campaigns (Piping Hot). ... England Golf, the governing body for all amateur golf in England, appointed sport and entertainment agency Generate to develop a new long-term commercial and marketing strategy. This is part of an ongoing initiative to shift perceptions of the sport, as well as increase membership and participation. The implementation of the commercial strategy covers sponsorship, broadcast, PR, and to tap into its membership database and the broader golf fan base, there will be an overhaul of its existing digital and CRM platforms (Generate). ... The Caribbean Premier League appointed two-wheeler manufacturer Hero MotoCorp Ltd. as the new title sponsor of the league for a period of one year. With this sponsorship, the third season of CPL "will be known as the Hero Caribbean Premier League" (BARBADOS TODAY, 6/10). ... Sportfive has reached an agreement with French side Red Star FC for the "exclusive management of the club’s marketing rights." The five-year deal will commence for the '15-16 season (SOCCEREX, 6/10). ... Intersport Finland and the Finnish Ski Association have signed a multi-year cooperation contract that makes Intersport the main partner of the national cross country skiing team. The contract duration will be until the spring of '19, which means that it will cover the Skiing World Championships in Lahti, the Olympic year and the Skiing World Championships in Seefeld (Intersport).

JETS TAKE OFF: A-League side Newcastle Jets announced a partnership with Flight Centre, which becomes Newcastle's official travel partner for the '15-16 season (Newcastle Jets).
