Borussia Dortmund Reports $5.3M Loss After First Three Quarters Of '14-15 Fiscal Year

Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund "has reported a loss after the first three quarters of the year," according to Henning Eberhardt of SPONSORs. However, the club expects a profit for the '14-15 fiscal year. The club announced a €4.7M ($5.3M) loss after nine months. During the previous fiscal year, Borussia Dortmund made a profit of €8.4M and generated €204.1M in revenue. The club calculates a profit of €4.3M ($4.8M) at the end of the year. Dortmund's participation in the DFB-Pokal (German Cup) final could bring in another €3.5M ($3.9M). Even if the team loses the final on May 30 to Wolfsburg, it would still receive €2.5M ($2.8M) (SPONSORs, 5/12).
