Indonesian Badminton Association (PBSI) Secretary-General ANTON SUBOWO was elected president of
the Badminton Asia Confederation for a four-year term. Anton was elected after two other candidates, KHUNYING PATAMA LEESWADTRAKUL of Thailand and AKHILESH DAS GUPTA of India, "withdrew from the race and
settled" for two of the six VP posts. Anton will replace
Malaysia’s MOHD NADZMI BIN MOHD SALLEH (JAKARTA POST, 4/27). ... The Jockey Club will lose Exec Dir of Racing BILL NADER and gain British exec TONY KELLY "as the club reorganises its racing division."
