DFL Hits 'Several' Clubs With Requirements As Part Of Licensing Process

The German Football League (DFL) "has set requirements for 'several' clubs as part of its licensing process," according to the SID.  The DFL, however, did not reveal the names of the clubs that have been hit with the requirements. A total of 47 clubs "have applied for the 36 Bundesliga and 2nd Bundesliga licenses." The clubs hit with requirements "have until Monday to appeal the DFL's decision." In mid-May, the DFL "will make a second decision." The final decision by the licensing committee about further requirements and approval of licenses will be made at the beginning of June (SID, 4/20).
