Scottish Rugby Union Agrees Three-Year Shirt Sponsorship Deal With BT

The Scottish Rugby Union has landed "further significant investment" after agreeing to a new three-year shirt sponsorship deal with BT, according to the SCOTSMAN. BT "already ploughs a multi-million-pound sum into the game north of the border as part of a naming rights package for Murrayfield, as well as sponsorship deals with Glasgow, Edinburgh, the Scotland 7s squad and the nation’s domestic league and cup competitions." It will replace RBS "as Scotland’s shirt sponsor ahead of this year’s World Cup." SRU Dir of Communications Dominic McKay said, "At the launch of our partnership last year we said the investment BT was making would be transformative for rugby in Scotland and this further significant investment demonstrates their commitment and desire to help us develop all elements of our game" (SCOTSMAN, 4/14).
