Franchise Notes: League Championship Wigan Offers Fans Free Bus Travel To Fulham

League Championship side Wigan Athletic has offered fans "free coach travel" for Wigan's game at Fulham on Friday. The move comes "the day after the Latics sacked manager Malky Mackay." Wigan Chair David Sharpe said, "We have a huge five games ahead of us and we will keep fighting to stay in this division, starting on Friday. This is when we need to stick together as a football club, on and off the field, starting on Friday" (BBC, 4/7). ... Bundesliga club VfB Stuttgart "is providing season-ticket holders with free beverage vouchers for the home games against Bremen on Sunday and Freiburg on April 25." Season-ticket holders "can use the vouchers up until 30 minutes before kickoff." Fans who want to use the voucher for beer "have to be at least 16" (STUTTGARTER ZEITUNG, 4/5).
