AFL Club Sydney Swans To Allow Winners Of Competition To Spend Night At SCG

The Sydney Cricket Ground boasts "all the creature comforts, a hairdryer, flat screen TV and shampoo," and is one of the "most famous sporting venues in Australia," according to Amanda Lulham of the Sydney DAILY TELEGRAPH. Australian Football League club Sydney Swans on Thursday listed a piece of its home, the SCG, "as the biggest property to ever feature on Airbnb." The listing is part of a competition in which four fans have an "opportunity to book it for a never-before overnight stay experience." The Swans and Airbnb have created the "ultimate Sydney Swans apartment in the Victor Trumper Stand." Former Swans player Jude Bolton will host guests overnight before the game against the GWS Giants on April 18. The apartment, a converted VIP suite, "comes complete with a queen bed, bunk beds and perhaps best of all a huge balcony overlooking the stadium directly into the goals." Bolton: "What a fantastic opportunity to do something no AFL fan has ever experienced in sleeping at the SCG" (DAILY TELEGRAPH, 4/2).
