Event Notes: Scottish Premiership Side Celtic Hits Out At SFA Over Ticket Prices

Scottish Premiership side Celtic has hit out at the Scottish FA and the other clubs still involved in the Scottish Cup over the "pricing structure" of the semifinals. Celtic is due to face Inverness Caledonian Thistle at Hampden on April 19 while "the other match sees Falkirk and Hibs battle it out a day earlier." The prices have been set at £23 ($34) for the North and South stands and £15 ($22) for adults and £5 ($7.41) for concessions for the East Stand. Celtic "argued strongly that the pricing for North Stand tickets should be reviewed and lowered, to be brought closer to prices for other parts of the stadium" (Scotland DAILY RECORD, 4/1). ... Incoming England & Wales Cricket Board Chair Colin Graves "has confirmed that reducing Test matches to four days remains on the agenda." The "radical proposal, which the governing body can put forward" to the Int'l Cricket Council for discussion, "was first revealed in a leaked document in February" (London INDEPENDENT, 3/31).
