Serbian Club Partizan Belgrade Connects With Telekom Srbija In Sponsor Upgrade

Serbian club Partizan Belgrade "signed a sponsorship deal with the country's leading operator Telekom Srbija," according to Jaroslaw Adamowski of INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL. Under the contract, "which will see the Serbian company serve as the club's main sponsor" until the end of '16, Partizan will receive a total of RSD 140.7M ($1.2M). The latest deal "accompanies the release of the side's financial results for last year." The data suggests that Partizan, which in recent years has struggled to stay afloat financially, "managed to increase its revenues by 0.6% compared with 2013." Club CEO Miloš Vazura said that securing a new main sponsor is an important part of the plan to "overhaul Partizan's financial position." As part of the ongoing financial overhaul, the club "has cut the operations and maintenance costs of its facilities in Belgrade." Telekom Srbija's logo "will be featured on the squad's shirt" (INSIDE WORLD FOOTBALL, 3/30).
