Bayern Munich To Receive $74M From Bundesliga's Marketing Revenue Next Season

The Bundesliga's marketing revenue for the upcoming season "is showing the stark inequality between the league's clubs," according to the SID. While Bayern Munich is "swimming in money," the situation is rather "gloomy" for clubs at the bottom of the table. Bayern Munich can expect income of more than €68M ($74M) for the upcoming season -- around €40M ($43M) from the league's domestic marketing revenue and €28M ($30M) from int'l marketing. Relegation-threatened sides Stuttgart and Hamburg "can only dream of such numbers." Stuttgart will receive an estimated €31.6M ($34M) and Hamburg €28.2M ($31M) -- but only if they remain in the top flight. Should they get relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga "those numbers would drop drastically." The distribution of the marketing revenue is based on the German Football League's (DFL) five-year ranking (SID, 3/30).
