Australian Racing Minister MARTIN PAKULA "accepted the mass resignation" of Greyhound Racing Victoria’s board and "installed a three-man, high-powered team to take charge of the sport." Former Tatts Group CFO RAY GUNSTON, who "had a stint" as interim CEO at Australian Football League side Essendon "in the wake of the long-running peptide episode, was appointed chairman." Recently retired Victoria Police commissioner KEN LAY and Melbourne barrister JUDITH BORNSTEIN "joined Mr Gunston on the new board" (THE AUSTRALIAN, 3/12). ... New Balance named FRAN ALLEN VP of its EMEA region, with JONATHAN RAM becoming exec VP of North America. Allen has spent the last two years as GM for the U.K. & Ireland and previously was with New Balance for 17 years when he was responsible for the U.S. and Canadian marketplace (New Balance). ... IndyCar driver ORIOL SERVIA has been named partner and managing director of JAY PENSKE-owned motorsports team Dragon Racing. Servia had been driving Penske's entry in Formula E, but will turn the car over to LOIC DUVAL for Saturday's race in Miami. Servia will move into a management role for Dragon alongside Managing Dir PAUL WOOLNOUGH. He will be responsible for the management of the team's technical operations and developing its commercial relationships (AP, 3/11). 

COACHES/MANAGERS: After former Brasileiro side Atlético Paranaense football Manager ANTÔNIO LOPES' departure, the club "announced its new manager" PAULO CARNEIRO on Monday. Carneiro has previously been "president of Vitória and Bahia's manager" (BAHIA NOTÍCIAS, 3/11). ... League Championship side Hull City announced Manager STEVE BRUCE "has agreed a new deal which will be signed in the next 24 hours." Hull City used its official twitter feed to confirm that the 54-year-old "will be extending his stay with them into a fourth season" (London DAILY MAIL, 3/11).
